9th May – Free Emergency Life Support Skills Training

Tuesday 9 May
2.30 – 4.30 pm
Free for IYIMV Members. Limited to 15 places.

Knowing what to do when someone has a cardiac arrest is important. If you can do CPR you can buy the time needed for professional help to arrive and save someone’s life. Being able to do CPR more than doubles their chance of survival.

The Heartstart course is designed to follow the current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines. It provides practical hands-on learning and everyone who completes the course will receive a certificate of attendance.

Judy Lynn is trained and authorised by the London Ambulance Service and British Heart Foundation Heartstart. On this two hour course you will learn how to:

  • Deal with an unconscious person
  • Recognise a heart attack and a cardiac arrest
  • Perform CPR
  • Use a defibrillator
  • Deal with choking
  • Respond to serious bleeding
