IYIMV Board of Trustees
The Iyengar Yoga Institute Maida Vale has a Board of Trustees made up of IYIMV teachers and Members who volunteer their time to help oversee the management of the Institute and make decisions about how to achieve our vision for the future of the organisation.

Penny Chaplin

Paul Hussey, Chairperson
Paul Hussey is a professional in the conference and events industry with extensive experience running events for 10 to 3000 attendees. He is a company director and has prior experience as a board director for a not-for-profit association. Paul has been a Member of IYIMV since 2013 and as well as being a keen yogi he has recently completed his sixth marathon in an impressive 4 hours and 6 minutes!
Gabriel Irwin
Gabriel worked in financial services for 28 years including several international Director level roles and time served as Trustee and Chair on the Investment Committee of a UK pension fund. Gabriel first practiced yoga in India in the seventies and was later drawn to the precision of the Iyengar method. He has an interest in architecture and has an appreciation of the IYI building and an interest in its evolution. As a Trustee he is concerned with protecting the integrity of the Instute and helping it develop in a way that protects and enhances its vision and purpose.
Fred Lupton
Fred has been a Member of the Institute since the mid-80s making him one of our most loyal students! He is a practising patent attorney, runs his own business and has experience with local government committees. Fred wanted to become a trustee to give something back to the Institute having enjoyed the yoga teaching at IYIMV for years and found it a perfect complement to other sports he took part in like rock climbing and cycling.

Anne Von Baeyer
Caroline Williams, Treasurer
Caroline is a qualified accountant and holds the designation of Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She has worked as a Finance Director at board level in the private sector for twenty years and now has her own company providing financial management. She took a break from the world of finance to travel the world in her thirties and had her own production company making videos and commercial for five years.
